Premier must heed reccomendations

Letter of the week

A2

Dear Editor:

Congratulations, Hon. Shawn Graham!

I would like to congratulate the Premier for his recent report "It's More than Talk: Listen, Learn and Act: A New Model for Public Engagement." This is exactly what we need now in light of the apparent lack of trust, integrity and failure by Mr. Lamrock to follow the simple steps of your very own public engagement policy!

For many New Brunswickers, the French Second Language issue is no longer just about Early French Immersion, but also about the lack of due process and democratic procedure.

I therefore urge the Premier to seriously consider Mr. Justice McLellan's judgement and the Ombudsman's recommendations. It is high time for Shawn Graham to regain control of his government and show the leadership we all expect from a Premier.

Excellent letter! I find it ironic to the point of being laughable that this new model for public engagement came in the middle of Mr. Lamrock's subterfuge, rhetoric and, well, lack of public engagement for his decisions.
