The Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society will host their Fall Workshop on Saturday, October 24, at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge Avenue, Riverview, NB from 1 to 4:30 p.m. All interested are welcome to attend.

The environmental organization Petitcodiac Riverkeeper is hosting a special event to celebrate its 10th anniversary on the Oct. 24! They will be organizing a benefit concert and will take this opportunity to launch a new compilation CD titled PETITCODIAC. The benefit concert and CD launch show will take place on Saturday starting at 8 p.m. at Studio 700 in Moncton. Several well known artists featured on the CD will be performing including Les Païens, Mathieu D'Astous, Isaac & Blewett, Christian "Kit" Goguen, John Jerome & the Great 88, and Colonial Quarrels.
Tickets for the show are available at Café Clémentine, Spin-It Records, Studio 700, Symbiose U de M and the Riverkeeper office at 236 St. George Street, Suite 407 in Moncton. The costs for tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Learn to oil paint: This program is a fun and interactive collection of six lessons that will teach the fundamentals of oil painting. In addition, the student will learn how to plan and execute a complete painting. This class is especially designed for students who have never painted before. Classes will be every Monday evening starting November 2 for 6 weeks, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Instructor: Cecile Chevalrie. Fees: $120 plus your cost of materials.
