On March 26, when the Stanley Cup was here, teams were asked to support P.R.O. Kids Riverview. P.R.O. KIDS stands for Positive Recreation Opportunities for Kids. P.R.O. Kids wants all children in Riverview to be able to participate in recreation activities, to boost their self-esteem and promote healthy growth through the learning of new skills, increased knowledge and personal development.

Due to Fen Maybe, owner of Riverview Tire on Coverdale Road, Lord Stanley's cup was presented at the Byron Dobson Arena and hockey kids, hockey parents and hockey coaches were all excited to get a glimpse of this precious piece of sports history. More than 30 teams made it for the visit and collected over $900. The managing team of the Riverview Predators felt that these efforts be supported and the team raised $140 to bring the total donation up over $1,000. Well done Predators!
